Chilean Carménère Style. Red. RESERVE NOW!

Carménère is a very slow ripening grape, best suited for long indian summers.

Top-Rated Carménère Wines age well and typically cost between $50–$100.

Fine Carménère wines offer dense, ripe, and powerful flavors of plums, berries, and cocoa notes, along with a creamy mid-palate and fine-grained tannins. The best rated wines easily resemble fine Bordeaux or Cabernet Sauvignon (with softer, more gentle tannins).

In Chile people refer to it as their “Purple Angel” ie “our kids are so rotten thank goodness for our Purple Angel!” Read More

Italian Brunello Style. Red. RESERVE NOW

Brunello di Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is a wine made with 100% Sangiovese with Italy’s highest classification. This is the Sangiovese that most wine critics cite to be the best in all of Italy.

It’s noted for having thicker-skinned berries and, because of this, Brunello produces wines with exceptionally bold fruit flavors, high tannin, and high acidity.

Wines are packed with fruit and flower flavors including cherries, dried cranberry, wild strawberry, blackberry, violets, potpourri and licorice. Wow. Read More

Australian Cabernet Shiraz Merlot Style. Red.  RESERVE NOW

Cabernet Sauvignon is the most planted wine grape in the world (~720,000 acres). It is the offspring of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc

FRUIT: black cherry, black currant and blackberry
OTHER: black pepper, tobacco, licorice, vanilla and violet

Merlot is second-most planted grape in the entire world. Expect your palate to be greeted with flavors of black cherry, plum, chocolate, dried herbs, and cedar. Most Merlot wines sit in the middle of the red wine spectrum, with medium levels of tannin, acidity, and alcohol. Exceptional Merlot wines are so bold, they can be confused for Cabernet Sauvignon.

Shiraz has higher levels of an aroma compound called Methoxypyrazine which is why it’s noted for aromas of black pepper, green peppercorn, black currant and sometimes even bell pepper. When you taste Shiraz you’ll be greeted with a punch of flavor that tapers off and then has a spicy peppery note. Because of its front-loaded style, it is often blended with grapes that add more mid-palate to help make the wine taste more complete

When you mix these three wines together you get a warm, balanced, delicious red wine. A vibrant blend of rich black fruit, raspberry, & plum; subtle mocha, spice, oak, & velvety tannins. Read More

France Pinot Gris/Viognier Style. RESERVE NOW

Pinot Gris What’s surprising is that this grayish-purple grape is also a mutation of Pinot Noir. Pinot Gris is famous for its refreshing citrus flavor and zesty acidity.

Viognier is for those who love to stop and smell the flowers. Viognier ranges in taste from lighter flavors of tangerine, mango and honeysuckle to creamier aromas of vanilla with spices of nutmeg and clove. Depending on the producer and how it’s made, it will range in intensity from light and spritzy with a touch of bitterness to bold and creamy. If you like Chardonnay you’ll like the weight of Viognier and notice it’s often a little softer on acidity, a bit lighter and also more perfumed. Read more
