Mah’s Red Wine Dressing

“This is a dressing for a recipe my mom (Mah!) had. It’s quite tasty and can be used for an antipasto or just standard lettuce and kale or spinach salad.”

salt and ground black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

6 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Mash garlic with a bit of salt using a mortar and pestle; transfer to a bowl. Add vinegar, mayonnaise, and oregano to garlic; whisk.

Slowly pour olive oil into the bowl while vigorously whisking the oil into the vinegar mixture to incorporate; season with salt and pepper.
