Questions From Procurement
Plan on 8–10 weeks from kickoff to delivery. Wine ferments for 5–6 weeks; custom labels take 1–2 weeks. For holiday season, start in September to be safe. Rush? Call us — we can sometimes accommodate tighter timelines.
Full payment is required at the time of placing your order — this is an AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) regulation, not a Wine Butler policy. We accept debit, credit, and e-transfer. Company purchase orders can be accommodated with pre-payment; talk to your account rep.
No — all orders are pickup-only at one of our 4 Ontario locations (Toronto, Mississauga, Kitchener, or London). Many companies send a staff member or assistant to pick up; for large orders we’ll have everything palleted and ready to go.
Roughly 65% of LCBO wine pricing is markup and tax. We skip that. At Wine Butler, a comparable bottle runs $6–$8 all-in vs $12–$15 at LCBO. On a 200-bottle corporate order, that’s $1,000–$1,400 in savings. Add logo labels and you still come out ahead.
For gift programs, you typically pick up the whole order and distribute. For some larger programs we’ve coordinated individual pickup at our locations with a company-provided list — ask your rep to set it up.
Most venues allow outside wine with a corkage fee. For events at a non-licensed space you may need an Ontario Special Occasion Permit — quick and inexpensive. We’ll walk you through it.
Yes — every bottle gets your logo, colours, and message. Custom labels run $1.57–$2.30 per bottle depending on quantity and finish. Sleeve bottles in branded boxes are optional and quoted separately. Ask us for a label proof when you book.
