Subject: Does The Pope Drink Wine In The Woods?

Of course not! He drinks it in the Chateau Neuf Du Pape.

Chateau Neuf Du Pape means “pope’s new castle,” and refers to a time when the seat of the Roman Catholic Church was in Avignon (between 1309–1377). The region has written records of vineyards dating back to 11oo’s, but winemaking has been here longer than that! Who knew the Pope had such good taste in wines?

A bottle of this remarkable wine can fetch up to 200$. Thankfully there’s no reason to pray for a lower price, because we have a version of it “Vieux Chateau Du Roi” “Old Castle Of the Kings”— and it is remarkable!

*note: Pope, Kings, nor Castle not included with your purchase.

OUR VERSION: VIEUX CHATEAU DU ROI

“Old Castle Of the Kings”—that’s the English translation of one of the most popular red blends in Wine Butler’s history: Vieux Château Du Roi.

Made in the style of a Châteauneuf-Du-Pape (the world-famous premium red blend from Southern France) this smooth, medium-bodied red has soft fruit flavours and just a touch of oak to round out what is guaranteed to be a perfect accompaniment to beef stews and cool nights spent around the fireplace.

A great bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge bursts with rich raspberry and plummy fruit flavors. As it evolves, you’ll taste notes of dusted leather, game, and herbs. The Francophiles – and the actual French – call this herbal play “garrigue,” after the region’s scrubland of sage, rosemary, and lavender.

Food Pairing: Try this wine with roasted and spiced vegetable-driven dishes like Morrocan chicken tagine with olives, lamb dolma (Turkish lamb-stuffed peppers), or smoky cauliflower steaks.

And don’t forget, our wines have 1/7th of the preservatives (sulphites) you’ll find in typical commercially purchased wines. Because we know a steak pairs much better with a fine win than sulphites do.

Money back guarantee on a fine wine? Your face will be a smooth, medium bodied red if you miss out on this deal!
